War for Worship

This weekend was the one year anniversery of the Hub. I can't believe that its been one year! Its just great to see the congregation and other pastors getting behind the youth guys and the youth guys really being able to show them whats going on. Our youth staff is so awesome and sometimes I think they get overlooked.

This picture above is a backround I made for Johns message this Sunday. As I look back on other graphics I have created, I think this one tops them all.

ahh...back to work.

Quality

Well-Thats my fist attempt at Vblogging. I have to work on the quality of the video and what-not. Currently I need to study and not be distracted by media. One note being this was the rough copy of the video before the final one! I realize I spelled a bunch of stuff wrong.

The Hub Walkthrough

Watch the video
Many people have asked me about The Hub and what its like. I just can't do justice to explaining the thing without the help of a video. Enjoy. Kevin Beers did the filming. I did the editing. The week this video was edited remains the craziest work-driven week of my life that I would like to forget!

What a Weekend!

Wow-This weekend flew by but at the same time I feel like it was super super long.

Friday I finished the opportunity I had to make the Hub's 1 Year anniversary video. Making the video was really encouraging to say the least. I feel like sometime I get so lost in finding things wrong in our youth ministry and doing tech. stuff that I forget The Hub is actually impacting kids lives. Its so good to here kids saying that they understanding Christ better because of The Hub. Again that night I was remind of how blessed I am with friends, its not everyone that can just crash at someone else's house because they fear driving home!

Saturday me and roommate went down (or up?) to Bree's. It was such a great opportunity to hang out, eat some great food, get to know her family, and experience church. Its so funny that you can go to two Wesleyan Church's and have them be completely different. It was really cool to experience a Sunday in a small Wesleyan Church of about 50 people. It was a lot different than my normal church experience but the community and the authenticity was refreshing.

Sunday Night I went to the Casting Crowns Concert w/ Bree. It was pretty sweet. I think I like them more now because of how authentic they seemed on stage and when they spoke. It was also annoying because some kids were screwing around with the spotlight but the worst part about it was there youth worker did nothing about it! I wanted to kill em'.

So really just an all around good weekend of fellowship AKA friendship. It's been cool to continue reading Kyle Lake's book. He calls for simplicity in prayer and not using "Christinese" when talking/praying. He goes on to say that sometimes we don't even know what we are saying.

Fellowship: What do we mean here... friendship?

The humor in his book is amazing.

Sorry this is long.---BTW Who posted the Russian comment? Jacob?
