So this past weekend was my first ultimate frisbee tourney ever. As a blogged a few weeks ago I joined the Roaring Sheep about a months ago. The game is a whole lot different than church pick-up to say the least! This weekend was amazing we were 5-2 in the tourney which was very respectable because we were seeded 9th coming in. It was just so fun to learn the game more and get to play with other people. Its fun not to play against your team.
One of the highlights of the weekend for me was when I caught my first ever point in Ultimate for the game winner against UPJ in our 3rd game. It was totally a girl point. Rachel Venable to me, caught behind my back (as in going the wrong direction with my body) of course set up by some good D by Jason. I also caught one out of the air for a point in the semi-final game which was cool. It was just fun to play and watch people play.
It was also great to get to know the team better. Just one of those chill experiences where everyone is cool and laid back. I love it. It was also cool to watch Anchorman and eat some dinner with Walker and Ashley's when we got back.

A picture of Paul, Will, and I playing in the cup in the quarterfinal game. I'm wearing the bandana, don't I look like a beast?
