Things I love about Houghton.

Wow-so I am feeling really happy for being at Houghton right now. Bree, Bethany, and I have been coming up with reasons why we love Houghton. Believe me, the reasons why I don't like it is long to but sometimes you just need to focus on the good.

-Houghton has character.
-People that carry around guitars and sing to you.
-The weather finally being nice.
-Playing on the quad because the weather is finally nice.
-Skipping class to be outside.
-Going to the Jube to get popsicles because it is finally nice out.
-Walking under the stars.
-Teachers dressed in all black that pull out lock blades and say "What am I your only teacher that carries a lock blade"
-Being challenged to think outside of the box.
-Eating outside because its so stinken nice out.
-Knowing your professors actually care about you.
-The popsicle stick game....I suck at it tho.
-Ice cream and movies that make you think with professors
-Making use of the fact we are in the middle of no where by doing simple things to have fun.

In other news first frisbee tourny this weekend. Its going to be great!

Fantastic Day

Well...today was fantastic.

For once it was a beautiful day at Houghton College. Sun shining-just awesome weather. Played a little disk in Lifetime Hellness...tossed with my wonderful roommate (above)....tossed with a bunch of friends after class....Had really good pizza for dinner...it was doughnut day....and tonight going to get some popsicles at the Jube in honor of the nice weather.

An honorable mention goes to Walker for making my day by saying he would beat of the kids that were making fun of me in class because I asked them to not spike my disc when they scored. I really felt like I was in high-school gym class again. They were just mad I could throw. How dumb. Why is it necessary to make fun of the frisbee team? I don't make fun of their basketball team with i think a 2-17 record. At least we win. (rant over)

I just absolutely love this weather and its supposed to be even nicer tomorrow!
